Which Class Is Right for Your Child?

At Kensington, finding the right fit for your child’s age and level is our first priority. Children learn best when they are in classes designed for their stage of development and current English ability. Use the guide below to help us find the best class for your child and contact us for more information. If we don’t feel we have the right class for your child right now, we’ll tell you honestly.

Choose by age to find the program that best fits your child’s stage of development for the academic year 26-27.

Our Curriculum

At Kensington, children build strong foundations in academics while also developing our students’ curiosity, confidence, critical thinking, and creativity. Our curriculum balances structured learning with the freedom to play, explore, and express themselves, guided by caring educators in an English immersion environment.

English Language & Literacy

Children build strong foundations in speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, phonics, reading, and writing—using English naturally across play and inquiry.

Mathematics

Hands-on experiences make numbers meaningful—counting, patterns, shapes, measuring, sorting, plus early addition and subtraction.

Science & Understanding the World

Inquiry and critical thinking—children ask questions, observe closely, and test ideas through projects and experiments.

Social Studies & Culture

Students learn Japanese traditions and community life while also developing global perspectives and respect for diversity.

Arts & Creativity

Our atelier, music, movement, and dramatic play support the “hundred languages of children.”

Physical Development

Outdoor exploration and active play build gross and fine motor skills, coordination, and healthy habits.

Practical Life Skills

Children build independence through daily routines—self-care, tidying, caring for materials, and the environment.

Social–Emotional Learning

Children develop friendships, empathy, resilience, and collaboration through daily circles, reflection, and guided support.

Across All Areas: What Children Become

Across learning areas, children grow into confident communicators, creative thinkers, resilient learners, and caring teammates.
